Vallecas stadium was inaugurated on June 6, 1976 and since then it has always hosted the Rayo Vallecano matches. It currently has a capacity of 15.000 spectators. It is located in the popular neighborhood of Vallecas in Madrid, in the southeast area of the city.
During the period 2004-2011 the stadium was called Teresa Rivero Stadium, name of the club president during those years.

The Rayo Vallecano de Madrid, popularly known as Rayo, was founded on May 29, 1924. Great players such as Pedro de Felipe, Jesús Landáburu, Pedro Valentín Mora, Manolo Clares, Hugo Sánchez, Anton Polster, Abel Resino, Julen Lopetegui, Paco Jémez or Álvaro Negredo have dressed the Rayo shirt.
