Team

The SG Dynamo Dresden, also known as 1. FC Dynamo Dresden or simply Dynamo Dresden, was founded on April 12, 1953 in the German city of Dresden, in the east of the country. Since then, players such as Torsten Gütschow, Hans-Uwe Pilz, Maik Wagefeld, Volker Oppitz, Ignjac Maucksch, Olaf Marschall, Uwe Jähnig or Dirk Zander have worn the yellow shirt.

The golden era of the club was during the period 1971-1985, when the team won 5 times the DDR-Oberliga (1971, 1973, 1976, 1977, 1978) and 5 times the FDGB-Pokal (1971, 1977, 1982, 1984, 1985).
